Description
A fusion of a classic burger and a traditional Philly cheesesteak, this flavor-packed Philly Cheese Steak Burger features tender beef patties, succulent ribeye steak, and gooey provolone cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (preferably Angus)
- 1/2 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 4 hamburger buns
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Sauté Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Cook until they are soft and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
- Prepare Ribeye: Season the sliced ribeye steak with salt and pepper before adding it to the skillet. Cook until browned, around 3-4 minutes.
- Form Patties: While the steak cooks, form the ground beef into burger patties and season them with salt and pepper.
- Cook Burgers: Grill or pan-fry the patties on medium-high heat until they reach your desired doneness, placing a slice of provolone on each burger in the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Assemble the Burger: Place the cooked patty on a bun and top it with sautéed ribeye, onions, and peppers.
- Serve Immediately: Enjoy your juicy creation while it’s hot!
Notes
For added flavor, consider using different cheeses or toppings like sautéed mushrooms or jalapeños.
