Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups chopped fruits (pineapples, peaches, or apples)
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round cake pan thoroughly.
  2. Melt the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until fully dissolved.
  3. Pour the caramel into the prepared pan and arrange the chopped fruits evenly over it.
  4. Combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  5. Whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla in another bowl.
  6. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until smooth.
