Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups chopped fruits (pineapples, peaches, or apples)
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round cake pan thoroughly.
- Melt the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until fully dissolved.
- Pour the caramel into the prepared pan and arrange the chopped fruits evenly over it.
- Combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla in another bowl.
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the fruit layer in the pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes, then invert it onto a serving plate.
