Description

A flaky, golden pastry filled with juicy tomatoes and rich cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 Beefsteak tomato
  • 2 round tomatoes
  • 2 medium-size salad cherry tomatoes
  • 30g grated parmesan cheese
  • 2-3 tbsp Dijon mustard


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lightly flour a surface and roll out the puff pastry until it’s about ¼ inch thick. Place it on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the surface of the pastry.
  4. Slice the Beefsteak and round tomatoes and arrange them on the pastry in a visually appealing way.
  5. Halve the cherry tomatoes and scatter them around the larger tomatoes.
  6. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the top of the arrangement.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  8. Serve warm, either as an appetizer or light meal.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add fresh herbs like basil or thyme on top of the tart before baking. Experiment with different cheeses for distinct flavor profiles.
