Description
A flaky, golden pastry filled with juicy tomatoes and rich cheese, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 Beefsteak tomato
- 2 round tomatoes
- 2 medium-size salad cherry tomatoes
- 30g grated parmesan cheese
- 2-3 tbsp Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Lightly flour a surface and roll out the puff pastry until it’s about ¼ inch thick. Place it on a baking sheet.
- Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the surface of the pastry.
- Slice the Beefsteak and round tomatoes and arrange them on the pastry in a visually appealing way.
- Halve the cherry tomatoes and scatter them around the larger tomatoes.
- Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the top of the arrangement.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
- Serve warm, either as an appetizer or light meal.
Notes
For a richer flavor, add fresh herbs like basil or thyme on top of the tart before baking. Experiment with different cheeses for distinct flavor profiles.
