Description

A comforting dish of pan-seared chicken breasts topped with a creamy garlic sauce and melted Jack cheese, perfect for weeknight dinners or entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded Jack cheese
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish
  • Paprika, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a hot skillet, sear the chicken undisturbed for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Reduce heat and add minced garlic, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and scrape browned bits from the pan to deglaze.
  5. Stir in sour cream and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Transfer chicken to a baking dish, top with sauce and shredded cheese, and bake for about 15 minutes until cheese is melted.
  7. Garnish with green onions and paprika before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine after sautéing garlic. Let it reduce before adding the broth.
