Description

A quick and easy copycat recipe for Texas Roadhouse salmon, featuring a crispy outside and tender inside with a rich lemon garlic butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 fresh salmon fillets, skin on
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon


Instructions

  1. Rinse the salmon and pat it dry.
  2. Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, and lemon zest in a small bowl, then rub it over the flesh side of the salmon.
  3. Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Place the salmon skin-side down in the hot skillet and cook undisturbed for 3–4 minutes.
  5. Flip the salmon carefully.
  6. Add butter and minced garlic to the pan, and spoon the garlic butter over the salmon as it melts.
  7. Squeeze fresh lemon juice into the pan and let it cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  8. Check doneness with a thermometer; aim for 52°C (125°F) for medium-rare.
  9. Remove from heat and serve immediately with a lemon wedge.

Notes

Serve with roasted vegetables, green beans, or a fresh salad for a balanced meal.
