Description
A quick and easy copycat recipe for Texas Roadhouse salmon, featuring a crispy outside and tender inside with a rich lemon garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 fresh salmon fillets, skin on
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Rinse the salmon and pat it dry.
- Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, and lemon zest in a small bowl, then rub it over the flesh side of the salmon.
- Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place the salmon skin-side down in the hot skillet and cook undisturbed for 3–4 minutes.
- Flip the salmon carefully.
- Add butter and minced garlic to the pan, and spoon the garlic butter over the salmon as it melts.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice into the pan and let it cook for another 2–3 minutes.
- Check doneness with a thermometer; aim for 52°C (125°F) for medium-rare.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately with a lemon wedge.

Serve with roasted vegetables, green beans, or a fresh salad for a balanced meal.
