Description

A quick and flavorful one-pan dish featuring tender chicken breasts coated in a honey-garlic butter sauce, inspired by Texas Roadhouse.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or chicken thighs)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your workspace: Lay out all ingredients and pat the chicken dry, seasoning both sides.
  2. Create the butter mixture: Whisk together melted butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Sear the chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the chicken for 5–6 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
  4. Build the sauce: Deglaze the skillet with chicken broth, scraping up browned bits, then add the butter mixture and simmer.
  5. Finish the chicken: Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over each piece. Simmer together for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Serve: Plate the chicken with sauce and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

This dish pairs beautifully with rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread, making it ideal for soaking up the sauce.
