Description

Delightful Taco Tortilla Roll Ups make a flavorful addition to any gathering. Easy to prepare, they are a hit with both kids and adults.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cream cheese (softened)
  • 4 oz Sour cream
  • 2 tbsp Taco seasoning
  • 1/3 cup Salsa (taco or picante sauce)
  • 1-2 Jalapenos (seeded and finely diced, adjust to taste)
  • 1 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 1/2 cups Chicken (cooked and shredded)
  • 1/3 cup Cilantro (finely chopped)
  • 6 8-inch flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, salsa, jalapenos, cheddar cheese, chicken, and cilantro until everything is well incorporated.
  2. Lay out one tortilla on a flat surface. Spread 2 to 3 tablespoons of the creamy mixture evenly over the tortilla, reaching all the way to the edges.
  3. Roll the tortilla tightly from one end to the other and place it seam-side down on a plate. Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and filling.
  4. Refrigerate the rolled tortillas for at least 120 minutes to firm up.
  5. Once chilled, slice each rolled tortilla into bite-sized pieces. Garnish with additional cilantro if desired.

Notes

Ensure tortillas are at room temperature before rolling to avoid tearing. For a healthier twist, substitue sour cream with Greek yogurt.
