Description

Delicious spicy shrimp tacos topped with fresh slaw and creamy avocado, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • Tortillas (corn or flour, your choice)


Instructions

  1. Combine the shrimp, olive oil, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, and lime juice in a bowl. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the slaw by mixing shredded cabbage, cilantro, and lime juice in a separate bowl. Set aside.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  5. Assemble the tacos by placing cooked shrimp in each tortilla, top with slaw, and add avocado slices.

Notes

Best served immediately. Store leftover shrimp and slaw separately in airtight containers for up to 2 days.
