Description

These quick and easy Spicy Grilled Shrimp Skewers are perfect for summer dining, customizable in heat level and full of flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh shrimp, deveined and shelled
  • ⅛ cup olive oil (or another neutral oil)
  • ⅛ cup lemon juice (fresh or bottled)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • Pinch to ⅛ teaspoon cayenne (adjust to your heat preference)


Instructions

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill or stovetop grill pan to high heat. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes if using.
  2. Place the cleaned, deveined, and shelled shrimp in a medium bowl.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, chili powder, and cayenne until well combined.
  4. Pour the marinade over the shrimp and toss until uniformly coated. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  5. Thread the marinated shrimp onto prepared skewers.
  6. Place skewers on the hot grill and cook for 90 seconds on the first side. Flip and grill for another 90 seconds on the second side.
  7. Remove from grill and enjoy while hot.
