Description

A delicious and simple recipe for grilled salmon marinated in a sweet and savory soy sauce and brown sugar mixture.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds salmon fillets
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mix together the lemon pepper, garlic, salt, soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and olive oil until the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Place the salmon fillets into a large resealable plastic bag.
  3. Pour the marinade over the salmon and seal the bag tightly. Let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes (or overnight for better flavor absorption).
  4. Preheat your grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grill grate.
  5. Remove the salmon from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off, and discard the marinade.
  6. Grill the salmon for 6 to 8 minutes per side or until it flakes easily with a fork.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add sriracha or red pepper flakes to the marinade. Pair with jasmine rice or steamed broccoli for a complete meal.
