Description
A delicious and simple recipe for grilled salmon marinated in a sweet and savory soy sauce and brown sugar mixture.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds salmon fillets
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Instructions
- Mix together the lemon pepper, garlic, salt, soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and olive oil until the sugar has dissolved.
- Place the salmon fillets into a large resealable plastic bag.
- Pour the marinade over the salmon and seal the bag tightly. Let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes (or overnight for better flavor absorption).
- Preheat your grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grill grate.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off, and discard the marinade.
- Grill the salmon for 6 to 8 minutes per side or until it flakes easily with a fork.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add sriracha or red pepper flakes to the marinade. Pair with jasmine rice or steamed broccoli for a complete meal.
