Description
Tender, juicy baby back ribs cooked in a slow cooker and finished under the broiler for a caramelized glaze, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon of paprika
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 cup of barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Combine the paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful dry rub.
- Generously coat the baby back ribs on both sides with the dry rub.
- Lay the seasoned ribs in the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until fork-tender.
- Preheat your oven broiler while the ribs are nearly done.
- Carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker and place them on a baking sheet.
- Slather your favorite barbecue sauce over the ribs.
- Broil the ribs in the oven for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is caramelized.
- Slice and serve hot.
Notes
For an extra kick, consider adding cayenne pepper or chipotle powder to the rub. Let the dry rub sit for at least an hour before cooking for deeper flavor.
