Description

Tender, juicy baby back ribs slow-cooked to perfection with a flavorful spice rub and barbecue sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 racks baby back ribs
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a hint of heat)
  • Aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a small bowl: paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Spice it up by generously rubbing the spice mixture all over the ribs.
  4. Set the seasoned ribs into the slow cooker and pour barbecue sauce over them.
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours until the meat is fork-tender.
  6. Preheat oven to broil about 10 minutes before serving.
  7. Prepare a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil for broiling the ribs.
  8. Add more barbecue sauce on top of the ribs for a glossy finish.
  9. Broil for 5-7 minutes until bubbly and caramelized.
  10. Rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best results, remove the membrane from the ribs and trim any excess fat.
