Description
Tender, juicy baby back ribs slow-cooked to perfection with a flavorful spice rub and barbecue sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 racks baby back ribs
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a hint of heat)
- Aluminum foil
Instructions
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
- Mix dry ingredients in a small bowl: paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Spice it up by generously rubbing the spice mixture all over the ribs.
- Set the seasoned ribs into the slow cooker and pour barbecue sauce over them.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours until the meat is fork-tender.
- Preheat oven to broil about 10 minutes before serving.
- Prepare a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil for broiling the ribs.
- Add more barbecue sauce on top of the ribs for a glossy finish.
- Broil for 5-7 minutes until bubbly and caramelized.
- Rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For best results, remove the membrane from the ribs and trim any excess fat.
