Description
Juicy chicken thighs coated in a creamy, slightly spicy bang bang sauce, all cooked in one skillet in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup bang bang sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, and paprika. Season both sides of each chicken thigh.
- Add vegetable oil to a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the seasoned chicken thighs to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes without moving to develop a golden crust.
- Flip the chicken thighs, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Transfer the chicken to a plate and tent loosely with foil to keep warm.
- Pour the bang bang sauce into the same skillet, scraping up the browned bits from the bottom. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until heated and slightly thickened.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, coating each piece thoroughly with the sauce. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
Can substitute chicken breasts for thighs and make the bang bang sauce ahead of time.
