A nostalgic and visually delightful Pineapple Upside Down Cake that combines sweet, caramelized pineapple with a moist cake, perfect for celebrations and potlucks.
Ingredients
- 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix (plus required ingredients—usually Eggs & Oil)
- 1 Can Pineapple Rings
- 1 Jar Maraschino Cherries
- 1 Stick Butter
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until combined. Pour into a greased Bundt pan.
- Drain the juice from the pineapple rings into a measuring cup and slice some rings in half if desired.
- Arrange the pineapple rings and cherries in the Bundt pan.
- Combine the cake mix, eggs, oil, and reserved pineapple juice in a bowl.
- Pour the batter over the pineapple and cherries.
- Bake for 38-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate and let it cool completely before serving.
Notes
You can substitute the yellow cake mix with a gluten-free version if needed. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
