Description

A simple and nutritious side dish featuring fresh asparagus roasted to perfection with olive oil and seasonings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh asparagus spears
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash the asparagus thoroughly and trim off the tough ends.
  3. Arrange the asparagus on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if desired.
  5. Toss gently to coat the asparagus evenly.
  6. Spread the asparagus back in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  7. Roast in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until tender and slightly crispy.
  8. Optional: Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese just before serving.

Notes

For a different flavor, substitute olive oil with avocado oil. Can be made dairy-free by omitting the cheese.
