Description
An indulgent chicken dinner featuring crispy, buttery, garlic flavors combined with a rich creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (for sauce)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 tbsp parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness, then season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Dredge the chicken in flour, dip it in beaten eggs, and coat it with breadcrumbs.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Set the chicken aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic in the remaining butter for 1-2 minutes. Add chicken broth and lemon juice, deglazing the pan. Stir in heavy cream and let the sauce simmer until it thickens.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, allowing it to soak up the garlic butter sauce for a couple of minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with your choice of sides.
Notes
For best results, pound the chicken for even cooking and use freshly grated parmesan for enhanced flavor.
