Description
A simple yet flavorful recipe that transforms chicken breasts with a mayonnaise and Parmesan coating, resulting in a tender and moist dish.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
- 1 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- ½ teaspoon seasoning salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), Parmesan cheese, seasoning salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well blended.
- Place chicken breasts in a lightly greased baking dish in a single layer. Spread the mayonnaise mixture evenly over each chicken breast, aiming for about ¼ inch thick.
- Bake uncovered for 45 minutes, until the coating is golden brown and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Let the chicken rest for 3-5 minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute.
Notes
A light coating of the mayonnaise mixture is ideal to avoid a raw taste. For even cooking, pound chicken breasts to an even thickness.
