Description
Delicious garlic butter grilled shrimp that cooks up quickly for a perfect weeknight meal or elegant appetizer.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds large tail-on shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter, melted
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh flat-leaf parsley, plus more for garnish
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and fresh parsley. Set aside ¼ cup for later.
- Add shrimp to the remaining garlic butter and toss gently until coated.
- Thread shrimp onto skewers, dividing evenly and leaving space between each shrimp.
- Grill skewers undisturbed for 3 to 4 minutes until charred, then flip and grill for another 3 to 4 minutes until opaque.
- Transfer skewers to a platter, brush with reserved garlic butter, and garnish with parsley. Serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
For easier handling, consider using two skewers per row of shrimp to prevent spinning on the grill.
