Description
A sweet and spicy baked chicken breast dish that balances flavor with ease of preparation.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup hot honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine the hot honey and minced garlic in a small bowl.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry, then season them with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until they develop a golden-brown crust.
- Pour the hot honey mixture over the chicken breasts, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving to enhance juiciness.
- Garnish with chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness, if desired.
Notes
Feel free to substitute hot honey with regular honey mixed with hot sauce for a milder version. For added juiciness, consider brining the chicken before cooking.
