Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a rolling boil.
  2. Add the sliced carrots and trimmed green beans. Boil for about 5 minutes until just tender.
  3. Carefully drain the vegetables and set aside.
  4. In the same pot over medium heat, melt the butter.
  5. Stir in the honey until well combined with the melted butter.
  6. Return the carrots and green beans to the pot. Toss them in the honey glaze until thoroughly coated.
  7. Sprinkle in fresh herbs, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is mixed well.
  8. Enjoy while warm!

Notes

Feel free to use agave syrup or maple syrup as alternatives to honey for a different flavor profile.
