Description
A vibrant side dish that combines the sweetness of honey with fresh carrots and green beans, perfect for elevating any meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1 pound green beans, trimmed
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring water to a rolling boil.
- Add the sliced carrots and trimmed green beans. Boil for about 5 minutes until just tender.
- Carefully drain the vegetables and set aside.
- In the same pot over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Stir in the honey until well combined with the melted butter.
- Return the carrots and green beans to the pot. Toss them in the honey glaze until thoroughly coated.
- Sprinkle in fresh herbs, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is mixed well.
- Enjoy while warm!
Notes
Feel free to use agave syrup or maple syrup as alternatives to honey for a different flavor profile.
