Description
A delightful and easy-to-make dish combining the sweetness of honey and the savory depth of garlic for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of oil and sear the chicken breasts for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat and add minced garlic, cooking for just 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, pour in soy sauce and honey, stirring until well combined.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce. Let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
Notes
For juicier chicken, let it rest after cooking. Marinate for extra flavor if time permits. You can substitute soy sauce with tamari and honey with agave syrup for variations.
