Ingredients
- 1 large clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt (or to taste)
- 1 teaspoon paprika (regular or smoked)
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for heat preference)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 lemon wedges for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat and gather all your ingredients.
- In a small bowl, crush the garlic clove and salt together using a fork until it forms a rough paste.
- Mix paprika and cayenne pepper into the garlic paste, stirring until combined.
- Stir in olive oil and lemon juice to form a thick, spreadable paste.
- Place the peeled and deveined shrimp in a large bowl and toss with the garlic paste until evenly coated.
- Lightly oil your grill grate to prevent sticking.
- Place shrimp directly on the grill or thread onto skewers. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until opaque and charred.
- Transfer to a serving platter, garnish with lemon wedges, and serve immediately.
