Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish, chopped
- Skewers (if using wooden, soak them in water for 30 minutes)
Instructions
- Combine garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Add the shrimp and toss well to coat. Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread shrimp onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece if using skewers.
- Place the skewered shrimp on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a minute, then garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Avoid over-marinating shrimp to prevent a mushy texture. Use a grill basket if not using skewers.
