A Mediterranean delight featuring grilled octopus marinated in olive oil, lemon, garlic, and herbs, perfect for summer barbecues.
Ingredients
- 1 kg octopus, cleaned
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Add the cleaned octopus to the bowl, ensuring it’s well-coated with the marinade. Let it marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes.
- Grill the marinated octopus for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side, or until tender and charred beautifully.
- Remove from the grill, slice into pieces, and serve with lemon wedges and fresh parsley.
Notes
If you prefer a twist on the flavors, feel free to swap in fresh herbs or even add a touch of smoked paprika for an extra kick!
