A vibrant avocado dip that’s perfect for gatherings, blending fresh flavors and quick preparation.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup red onions, finely chopped
- 1 – 2 jalapeño or serrano peppers, seeded and finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)
- 3 ripe Hass avocados, halved and pitted
- 1 – 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice (or to taste)
- 1 ripe Roma tomato, seeded and chopped (optional)
- Tortilla Chips for serving
Instructions
- Combine the red onions, jalapeño peppers, half of the cilantro, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Mash the ingredients together until well mixed and fragrant.
- Scoop out the avocado flesh into the bowl and mash it to your desired consistency.
- Stir in the remaining cilantro and lime juice, and if using, fold in the tomatoes gently.
- Taste and adjust salt and lime juice as needed before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the fridge, pressing plastic wrap onto the surface to minimize oxidation.
