Description

A classic appetizer that’s creamy, zesty, and perfect for any occasion. Deviled eggs are easy to prepare and can be customized to suit your taste.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (yellow or Dijon)
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar (white or apple cider)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the eggs in a saucepan, cover them with water, and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat, cover it, and let the eggs sit for 9-12 minutes.
  3. Drain the hot water and cool the eggs under cold running water.
  4. Once cooled, peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
  5. Carefully take out the yolks and transfer them to a mixing bowl.
  6. Mash the yolks with a fork, then mix in the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  7. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the hollowed egg whites.
  8. Finish by sprinkling paprika on top for color.
  9. Chill before serving for the best flavor.

Notes

Store leftover deviled eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. For a lighter twist, swap Greek yogurt for mayonnaise.
