Description

A fizzy, sweet homemade cream soda that’s perfect for summer parties or a refreshing afternoon drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar (white or brown)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Club soda or sparkling water
  • Ice
  • Optional: Whipped cream and cherries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the syrup: In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  2. Add vanilla: Once cooled, stir in the vanilla extract. Your cream soda base syrup is ready!
  3. Mix: Fill a glass with ice and pour in 2-4 tablespoons of the syrup, adjusting based on your sweetness preference. Top it off with club soda and stir gently.
  4. Garnish: Add whipped cream and a cherry on top if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a richer flavor, let your syrup cool overnight. Experiment with flavored sparkling water for a fun twist.
