Description
A creamy, cheesy shrimp casserole topped with crunchy breadcrumbs, perfect for gatherings or weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tablespoon salt
- ⅔ cup mayonnaise
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 ounces shredded medium cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Boil water with salt and Old Bay seasoning. Cook shrimp for 30 seconds until barely cooked.
- Drain shrimp and let cool, removing any excess moisture.
- Mix mayonnaise, garlic powder, and pepper with shrimp. Add cheeses and stir to combine.
- Spread shrimp mixture into the baking dish.
- Melt butter and mix with panko breadcrumbs. Sprinkle over the shrimp mixture.
- Bake for 13 to 15 minutes until center reaches 145°F. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes for golden breadcrumbs.
- Let the casserole rest for 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
This dish can be made ahead of time and is great for potlucks. Leftovers keep well and can be reheated.
