Description
A creamy and flavorful dip perfect for game day gatherings, packed with shredded chicken, spicy hot sauce, and creamy cheese.
Ingredients
- 3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts (boiled and shredded)
- 8 ounces cream cheese (cubed)
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- 1 cup hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup green onion (chopped)
- 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded, divided)
- 1.5 cups cheddar cheese (shredded, divided)
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the chicken breasts. Boil for about 25 minutes or until fully cooked. Remove, let cool, and shred.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan with non-stick spray.
- In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine cream cheese, ranch dressing, hot sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder. Whisk until the cream cheese is completely melted.
- Stir in shredded chicken, green onions, and 1 cup each of mozzarella and cheddar cheese, mixing thoroughly.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and cheddar. Bake for 20-30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. For an extra touch, broil for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve with tortilla chips, veggies, or crackers for dipping, or enjoy leftovers wrapped in tortillas!
Notes
For a healthier twist, consider substituting Greek yogurt for cream cheese or incorporating more veggies into the mix. Adjust the amount of hot sauce based on your preference.
