  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 tablespoons pure honey
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped dill (optional for garnish)
  • 500 ml water
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, combine baby carrots with water and a generous pinch of salt. Bring to a medium-high heat and let the water simmer, allowing it to evaporate as the carrots soften.
  2. Once the water has disappeared, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter, honey, and brown sugar to the skillet. Stir continuously for about 5 minutes, until a glossy and thick glaze forms around the carrots.
  3. Check the seasoning and adjust with additional salt and black pepper according to your preference.
  4. Gently fold in the fresh dill, ensuring you distribute the herb evenly for a fragrant finish.

Notes

For a different flavor twist, substitute honey with maple syrup. For a less sweet glaze, add more butter or a squeeze of lemon juice.
