Healthy and easy-to-make banana oatmeal bars perfect for snacking or breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups mashed bananas (about 3 super ripe bananas)
- ½ cup nut butter (almond, peanut, or cashew)
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt. Mix well until combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan, pressing it down evenly.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Let the bars cool completely before slicing into squares.
