Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef or chicken
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning
  • 12 Taco shells
  • 2 cups Shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 2 cups Fresh shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup Diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream
  • 1 cup Salsa
  • 1/2 cup Olives (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef or chicken over medium heat in a skillet. Add taco seasoning and a splash of water, cooking until the meat is fully cooked.
  3. Arrange taco shells upright in a baking dish and fill each shell with the seasoned meat.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the filled taco shells.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve with fresh toppings like lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, and olives.

Notes

For extra crispy shells, bake them empty for a few minutes before filling.
