Quick and delicious grilled shrimp with a flavorful garlic butter sauce, perfect for any weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1½ pounds jumbo shrimp, tails on, peeled and deveined
- Kosher salt and fresh black pepper to taste
- 8 metal or wooden skewers
- 2 tablespoons salted butter (or dairy-free butter for a dairy-free option)
- 1 large garlic clove, grated, minced, or pressed
- ¼ teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1 lemon, sliced into wedges
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare skewers by soaking wooden skewers in water for at least 20 to 30 minutes.
- Pat the shrimp dry and season with kosher salt and pepper.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat and oil the grates.
- In a small skillet over medium-low heat, melt the butter, then add garlic and cook until fragrant; stir in paprika and set aside.
- Thread shrimp onto skewers, dividing evenly.
- Grill shrimp until pink on the bottom, about 2 to 3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Transfer shrimp to a platter, brush with garlic butter, garnish with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
Shrimp can be cooked on a stovetop or in an air fryer if a grill is not available.
