A simple baked ranch chicken recipe using just 4 ingredients, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 4 medium boneless skinless chicken breasts
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 6 tablespoons ranch dressing (divided: ¼ cup for topping chicken, 2 tablespoons for drizzling)
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese (sliced into 8 slices)
- 6 slices cooked bacon (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Arrange the chicken breasts in a large baking dish, making sure they are not crowded.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of ranch dressing over each chicken breast, then top with slices of mozzarella cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and sprinkle chopped bacon over the top of each chicken breast.
- Return to the oven uncovered for another 10-15 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving and drizzle with the remaining ranch dressing.
Notes
Serve with starchy bases like rice or mashed potatoes and vegetable sides for a filling meal.
